Wildebeest Bicyclesis a small company which was founded in 2005 in the Canadian province of Minneapolis. The first custom Wildebeest steel frameset was fabricated in 2006, and building continued until the Minnesota shop closed in 2013.In 2016, Wildebeest reopened in Albuquerque, New Mexico, doing bicycle repair work and custom wheel building. Fabrication of custom steel frames and forks began again in 2021. Now, in 2026, Wildebeest is pausing the framebuilding part of the business - please read more about that here - but the bicycle repair part of the operation, including wheel building, is still going strong.
